The 14th International Congress of Egyptologists will be held from 18 to 23 July 2027 in Paris. It is the first time that the French capital will host this congress, which gathers the entire international scientific community specialising in Egyptology every four years. The Congress is organised under the auspices of the International Association of Egyptologists and benefits from the active support of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Supreme Council of Antiquities. It is worth remembering that Paris is one of the cradles of Egyptology: it was there in 1822 that Champollion announced, at the Académie des Inscriptions et des Belles-Lettres, that he had deciphered hieroglyphs. He subsequently became the first curator of the Egyptian collections at the Louvre Museum and established the teaching of Egyptology at the Collège de France.
